No.

There were no Christians until after Jesus' death because Christianity is based on the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.

The baptism of John (he baptized Jesus) was a baptism of repentance not a believers baptism. John's message was, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand!" The King would soon appear, but He could not and would not reign over people who clung to their sins. They must change directions, must confess and forsake their sins.

Nothing in scripture tells us that Jesus' parents were baptized by John or later on became Christians.

No. Joseph and Mary, the parents of Jesus Christ, were Jews. They had been brought up in the Jewish faith, and followed God's teachings. They were obedient to God in every sense. There were no Christians during the time Jesus was alive. The term was not coined until some time after Christ had been crucified and rose again. It says in Acts 11 that the disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.

Why do christians believe baptism is so important?

Actually, infant baptism is important to a small group of Christians. Most believers do not practice infant baptism because they hold that it is not taught in Scripture. Baptism is for penitent adults who are aware of their sin and appreciate the need for redemption.

What are the similarities between the bar mitzvah and the baptise?

Both churches recognize the other's baptism as a relevant Christian baptism. Both churches practice the baptism of people of all ages (including infants) and believe the water is made Holy by God. Both baptize in the name of the Holy Trinity (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit). Both believe baptism is an essential part of being ''saved'', or becoming a Christian. Parents and Godparents are present at the baptism. Holy Baptism is recognized as a Holy Sacrament in both churches. Baptism should only be performed by an ordained person, unless an ordained person cannot be reached and the person awaiting baptism is in the danger of dying.

Why was it a big deal for a Jewish person to be baptized?

The fundamental issue was not the physical act of pouring water on the child, but all of the religious and social implications that the baptism would have. While there was some debate among Christians about whether a Non-Christian could be baptized against his will (or the will of his parents if he was underage), there was no debate that the baptized person was irrevocably a Christian and could not be "un-baptized".The primary problem arises when you realize that it was illegal in all Christian countries for Jewish adults to raise a Christian child. This meant that the child would then be forcibly seized from his parents and given to a Christian family. The reason for this illegality is that it was believed that the Jewish parents would teach the child "untruths" that would condemn the soul of the Christian child to Hell. For this same reason, all contact between the Jewish parents and the child was forbidden. A number of Jewish children who were forcibly baptized were thus ripped from the arms of their parents in order to put them "in good Christian houses". This was a violation of the family's dignity and wholesomeness. The secondary problem is that Jews believe that their religious views are correct and, therefore, by force of law, their children were taken to be taught incorrect beliefs about the world and not to be taught the correct nature of the world. Jews also value their traditions and it is very important to teach those traditions to the next generation. The loss of this child makes the transmission of these important traditions impossible.

What is the Protestant view about whether the Roman Catholic Church will baptize an infant if the parents are not married?

In the Roman Catholic Church the answer is probably 'no' as RCs have strict rules about such things. However, being baptised is being baptised a Christian rather than a member of a particular denomination. In the Anglican Church, for example (Episcopalian in the US) , a baptism of a child of parents who aren't not married is possible at the discretion of the priest. This is allowed as the child is the central concern of the sacrament rather than the parents. However, there will usually be some constraints. For example, it might be necessary for the parents to undergo a Christian nurture course so that they understand just what baptism is about, they may have to make a commitment to get married at a future date, or, most likely, the priest might insist that at least two (if not more) of the Godparents are married and are practising Christians, as it is the responsibility of the Godparents (rather than exclusively the parents) to ensure that the child is brought up with Christian principles and beliefs. Consequently, if you are a Catholic and your priest refuses baptism, then you might find that, as baptism is a Christian sacrament rather than a denominational ceremony, a minister in another denomination will perform the baptism for you. Just go along to the church and ask. For many Protestants this is a non-issue. They do not teach or practice infant baptism, as there is no biblical precedent for it.

How can an Indian Christian girl can marry a Pakistani Christian boy?

No trouble at all for the Christian boy and girl - they are both Christian. The trouble is for their parents, and if they are not Christians they will make trouble; but for the two Christians; just give it all to Jesus; his people are called to suffer with him anyway; (Romans 8.17)

Why do some christians baptize their young and not others?

The reason that some churches baptize infants and some do not depends upon what their understanding of baptism is and upon what conditions it is offered. Speaking generally.... The churches who not baptize infants practice "believers baptism", that is, the recipient must be of an age where they can choose to be baptized or not by themselves. They see baptism as a sign of the Christian's public profession of faith. Baptism in turn is primarily seen as a dying to sin and a rising with Christ, which is why these same churches frequently baptized by immersion. Churches who baptize infants see baptism as a mark of God's grace freely offered to us without any preconditions on on own (such as a renunciation of sin and a choosing of Christ). It is a mark of God's love, God's claim, on the infant, and is a visible sign that the infant is included in God's family. In many churches the infants parents must be Christians and promise to bring the child up in the Christian faith.

Where were the places of education for Christians?

The place where Christians mainly are educated about Christian beliefs and concepts is the church; however, many also study the Bible and read Christian literature on their own. Television and the Internet also offer opportunities for Christians to learn about the faith. General education for Christian children include attending public school; h0wever if parents desire a curriculum based on their faith, children would need to go to Christian or Catholic schools, or parents would need to home school them using a Christian curriculum.
