It's possible they just like it. Screamo is actually a derivative of Hardcore Punk, along the lines of Powerviolence, Grindcore, Crust Punk, etc. What's currently dubbed as "Screamo" is a far cry from what it really is.
"Screamo" is not a genre to clear everything up. "Screamo" is a point of view made from other people. What I believe you're referring to is punk or punk rock music. Those are actual genres of music. This type of music is mostly screaming. Pop punk is where there are a few moments where there is screaming. "Screamo" is not a genre. Some good punk/punk rock bands are A Day To Remember, Bring Me The Horizon, Miss May I, Motionless In White, Suicide Silence, and Attila.
Screamo is a genre of rock music. Usually in Screamo the lyrics are sometimes screamed but not always. Screamo is a version of the emocore, metal, ska, and others that resemble those. there are Screamo songs that are fully instrumental and have absolutely no lyrics. When the lyrics are screamed its not like your 6-year-old screaming because her older brother put a rubber spider in her bed but a throaty scratchy kind of scream that most girls cant reach. That's why in most Screamo bands the lead singer is usually a male.
Post-hardcore, melodic hardcore, straight-edge hardcore, emo (emotional hardcore), and screamo are all offshoots of hardcore punk.
Well (: (in my opinion) Bring Me The Horizon- screamo/alternate Pierce the veil- Pop Punk Suicide silence- Screamo Slipknot- hard metal/ screamo Blood On The Dance Floor- screamo Of mice & men- screamo/ pop punk Woe is me- screamo/ pop punk Attack attack!- screamo/ pop punk Asking Alexandria- screamo/ pop punk Parkway drive- screamo Motionless in white- screamo We Came As Romans- screamo/ pop punk (I recommend the song to plant a seed) Marilyn Manson- screamo/ BLOODY LEGEND. Umm I can't think of any more at the moment there are so many! But I hope this helps :3

Yes, screamo is a sub-genre of emo (which itself is a sub-genre of punk).

Escape The Fate is Alternative/Screamo/Punk.
Grunge Black Punk Glam Hard Screamo and more.
aiden is death screamo. i really like aiden and i think that some of the songs that you might like by them is die romantic, or knifeblood nightmare. Aiden is a punk band. They have always been a punk band. The album conviction was just alternative rock. They have never even said there emo or death screamo. I mean just really listen to a wide range of there music like listen to Knives. They have said there a punk band. There lyrics from some songs are horror related and some are personal. They are not emo, screamo are anything like that. There genre is punk. Yes even wiL has said when started out he was just a punk kid who loves the music.
Emos like punk, punk rock, rock, hard rock, metal, heavy metal and screamo.

Radio station do not give much airtime to Linkin Park nowadays like they used to earlier. However you can still listen to their older songs being played on some rock radio stations occasionally. Also I remember that the song "War" from their previous album was played a lot on Metal and Punk stations. iTunes also used to have Linkin Park only online radio station a few years back but I am not sure if they still exist as I haven't listened to that station from too long.
No...They're pop/punk, ever so slightly heavier than Blink 182.
