They are all good because they are all directed at certain social and political topics/problems in the world. The first album, Rage Against the Machine (Self Titled) is mainly directed at the government and the broad topics of rebelling against the powers that be and other subjects such as who was behind the murder of Malcolm-X and Dr Martin Luther King.
The following 2 albums, Evil Empire and The Battle Of Los Angeles go into much more depth of certail politics such as the struggles of the Mexican revolution EZLN and their former leader Zapata, also the convictions of Journalists/activists Leonard Peltier and Mumia Abu Jamal. The Battle Of Los Angeles is also heavily based around the novel "1984" by George Orwell.
They then released an album which contained only covers of songs by Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen and MC5, just to name a few.
The best album in so far as sound goes musically regarding the amazing guitar solos of Tom Morello and what not would probably be The Battle Of Los Angeles. But if you want a good history lesson, check out Evil Empire.
Personally, all the Rage albums are superb, musically and lyrically.
