Watching his very extense territory, the male lion must walk for long every day and lion must do several tasks as follows:

1. Lion fights very often huge packs of hyennas.
2. Lion often fights other male lions.
3. Sometimes, male lion fights other animals like leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, and even cape buffalos or water buffalos, etc.
4. Sometimes, lion helps lionesses to hunt, specially to bring down great preys like giraffes, buffalos or hyppos.
5. Patrolling, sometimes and by the way, lone male lion hunts. Primarily the lion prefers large preys like cape buffalos, because his pride is usually big, and there are a lot of members to feed. Therefore, lion takes into account his female and his cubs. The lion has more nobility than a lot of people believe (although he is a killer like any predator, of course).

When male lion comes back from his long and hard watching, he lies down next to lionesses and cubs, because he is really tired (that's the usually showed on documentaries...). That's all, I think it's quite enough. By the way, male lion doesn't like fighting but he must do in order to protect his females, his cubs, his territory and himself.

A lion is a very calm animal. They seem to eat a lot of grass. According to zoologists all around the world, a lion's best friend is a bunny. They also have very sexual relationship with sheep. However, there are no such things as female lions due to the the Great Flood of 1932.

Hope I helped! :)
