Actually, the "standards" refer to the desire to live holy. The standards apply to our manner of dress and appearance, hair length, TV (usually not in our homes), entertainment choices, etc.
There are also Pentecostal groups such as the Assemblies of God and others who have televisions in their homes. They would just be reminded to carefully choose their entertainment selections. Hair length, dress, and jewelry restrictions in Trinitarian Pentecostal groups are not as stringent as other Pentecostal groups.

No earrings or any type of piercings. Men are to cut their hair or shave their heads. They do not wear skirts, make up or earrings or any typ of jewelry.
