Here is a list:
artist

Some words that end with the suffix "-ist" include artist, scientist, dentist, pianist, journalist, and therapist.
First of all, they can -ist in the words biologist or chemist wouldn't be considered as a suffix. If we take away -ist from biologist, it would be biolog. That's not a word. Same with chemist. Technically, -ist means what a person is. For example, if I were a biologist,I would study biology.
Some words with ist in the end include-artist, communist, list , and mist
Environment
Because they're are different words all together.Answer:The difference between the suffix -ist and the suffix -er is based on the origin of the word (where it came from). If the word origin is from Greek or Latin the suffix -ist would be used. If the origin of the word is from Old English or Germanic then the suffix -er was used.
I mean that give me a list of words that have the suffix den in it
-ist (not -list) means "one who" so bio- (life) + -log(y) (in this case "science study" + -ist, one who literally means "one who studies life science".
