The stereo is held in by tabs on each side which are supposed to be released with a special "din tool" but a metal wire coat hanger will do the trick. You don't need to remove any of the trim around the stereo. 1. Remove the 4 rubber tabs covering the din holes. There are two tabs on the left edge of the stereo face and two on the right edge. 2. Insert din tool or coat hanger. It works well to take a metal coat hanger and cut it into a "U" shape so that the ends can stick into both holes on a side of the stereo at the same time. Insert the two ends into the holes and push them in an inch or two. You should feel some resistance at this point, and then you need to wiggle them in another half inch. Then push the coat hanger out away from the stereo so that the locking mechanism is forced against the edge of the edge of the stereo. This releases the stereo and allows it to be pulled out. It should work fine to first release one side of the stereo and get it to pull out an inch, then release the other side, and then pull the entire stereo out.
