Britney Jean Spears is a singer from Kent wood in Louisiana. Her parents are Jamie Spears ( who now controls her life and relationships) and her mother Lynn. She has one sister named Jamie-Lynn Spears and one brother named Bryan Spears. Britney also has two sons named Sean Preston and Jayden James.

Britney was previously married to a man who many of her fans suspect used her to get some of her riches. His name was Kevin Federline. He was once Spears' back-up dancers. When they got divorced in late 2006, it hit Britney hard.

She had a big, long nervous and mental breakdown, spanning from 2007 to early 2008, causing her to do many actions that she now regrets doing. These actions include shaving her hair off, supposedly experimenting with drugs alcohol and hanging around with the wrong people (i.e paparazzi), this caused her to lose custody of her children.

In May 2008, she shocked the world, when she received 3 moon men nominations at the VMAs. She won them all. It really did look like she was back on track. Her image was re-vamped from tramp to vamp, and she really did look once again like the teen idol we remember from back in 1998.

In November of 2008, it was official that she was releasing a new album (her 6th studio album) which was to be named Circus. Also in November, she performed on hit UK TV the X Factor, giving it it's highest ratings of 2008, a jaw-numbing 13 million people, which means that if you line 5 people up, at least one of those people watched her perform.

In December 2nd, her 27th birthday, she released Circus, which was a worldwide hit. It was official, Britney Spears was back.

From then, she got split custody of her children and in February, she announced that she was touring , a world tour, to be named The Circus Starring Britney Spears. The tour was a success and finished almost 10 months later in November 2009, but controversy arose when the Australians complained that she was lip-syncing on her first time Down Under. Never-the-less she got on with it and it became the highest grossing tour of 2009.

On November 24th 2009, she released her 2nd compilation album, The Singles Collection, which was to include new smash hit 3 and all her singles. The Ultimate Fan Box set included all of her videos on one DVD plus a photo booklet of memorable images, plus a box of the singles in different sleeves complete with their B-Sides, remixes and Original artwork.

It's now December 2009 and Britney had ended the decade on a high! Becoming one of the best-selling artists of the decade, Britney has still got it in her!
