A producer is an organism that makes their own food. eg.plants, plankton
A consumer is an organism which feeds on producers. eg. horse, cow,frogs
A consumer is a carnivore or omnivore that eats other organisms.A producer is a plant that produces its own food.


Producer:are organisms that make their own energy by making food from sunlight

Consumer:can not make there own food so they eat other organisms
A Producer is Animals are called consumers. This is because they cannot make their own food, so they need toconsume (eat) plants and/or animals. A Consumer is are 3 groups of consumers. Decomposers

Bacteria and fungi are decomposers. They eat decaying matter - dead plants and animals and in the process they break them down and decompose them When that happens, they release nutrients and mineral salts back into the soil - which then will be used by plants!
