In the United States - Army, Air Force, Navy and Marine Corps (A fifth branch, The Coast Guard, is generally classified under Dep of Homeland Security but is part of the Department of Defense during time of war)

You can contact the local recruitment branch of the service you are interested in. All major military branches recruit.
Inter-service
All branches of the US military (Marines, Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard) require some form of basic training. The duration and type of basic training varies with the branch of armed service, but it is a requirement.
I believe that all of the branches of the military offer some form of insurance. If they do not then many insurance firms will offer military discounts to servicemen and women.
MIL on some documents, but for branches it depends on the branch.
USN and some USMC
Well, I must say that I only know of five branches of the U.S. military (Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard), but the President is commander-in-chief of all of them. If you include the National Guard as a branch of the military, then the President becomes commander-in-chief of them when they are called into federal service.
You have it wrong, the Army is one of the five branches of the military, along with the Air Force, Marines, Navy, and Coast Guard (in the US). The military is the whole of all service branches (not just the US, but any country).
There are no regulations that are put on flags of the US regarding this.
I don't know. do u know the military branches of lazio?
