Emily's Army
^ theyre a bunch of 14 year olds from Oakland and they kick ass.
yes There are approximately 27 metal bands with the name Armageddon or some alternative spelling of same. However none of them are really famous... there're rarely more than two or three bands with the same name if one is famous. There was also a 60s psychedelic band called Nirvana. Guess which band is more famous. Fest (of "1234" fame) was also the lead singer of Placebo. (She probably hasn't met Brian Molko yet.) At least 10 bands are called Incubus, most of which are thrash metal. There is a famous exception.
They have not annouced it yet... My guess would be some of these bands since they are playing at Edgefest 21 in Toronto.Rise_AgainstA_Perfect_CircleThe_WeakerthansTokyo_Police_ClubArkellsThe ReasonDinosaur Bones
There are various names that you can pick for your Christian rock band. Some band names have a deep meaning, yet others do not. Just try to pick a name that means something to you and your band members. Here are some suggestions from our contributors:The Rock CrossPAR~A~DIGMChrist on FireThe Burning
They haven't yet toured with any American bands. The band has stated several times they would love to come to the USA at the end of the year and maybe then they will tour along with an American band. Who knows?

There is nothing wrong with Christian rock. All Christian rock is, is good, clean lyrics with very loud music. So it doesn't matter if you like tobyMac or Third Day, they're both have really good Jesus-pleasing lyrics, yet tobyMac is way louder. Here are some clean Christian rock bands: Kutless TobyMac dcTalk Skillet Red Thousand Foot Krutch POD They have really good lyrics, yet a rocky tune.
They have not yet announced the bands that are touring with them, but they have announced some of the dates on their website.
Not yet! Here's some info about Camp Rock 2 The Final jam, check related link.

I've yet to hear of "Southern Metal" as a subgenre. There are some Southern Rock bands who sometimes take a bit of a Black Sabbath-inspired touch and straddle the line between Southern Rock and Doom Metal - bands such as Goatsnake, Iron Hearse, and, to some extent, Corrosion of Conformity. As for how you want to name your band, whatever appeals to you. There really isn't a set definition for how to name a Metal band, although perhaps there are some guidelines you'd want to stay in between... you wouldn't want a name which would lead people to think you were a Black Metal band from Norway.
