What are the Qualities of a good salesman?
A good salesman will have good people skills - a good personality, friendly, the ability to communicate effectively and be a good listener. He needs to be knowledgeable about his products and be able to explain the features and benefits of what he is selling. He needs to be able to answer questions and overcome objections. He needs to know when is the right time to ask for the sale and he needs to follow-up with potential customers.

Answer . FIRST OF ALL, FIND A GOOD DEALERSHIP THAT DOESN'T HIDE COST, PAY, ETC. AN HONST DEALERSHIP WITH GOOD LEADERSHIP.. SECOND, BE FRIENDLY, SELL YOURSELF NOT THE CAR!…. THIRD, FOLLOW UP WITH ALL YOUR CUSTOMERS AT LEAST ONCE A MONTH, EMAIL, CALL, LETTER ETC.. ASK FOR REFERRALS! THIS IS HUGE, FAMILY, FRIENDS, CO WORKERS ETC.. BE CLEAN, NEAT, ORGANIZED, AND INTELLIGENT. THE INTERNET IS MAKING THE BUERS MUCH MORE INTELLIGENT, SO KEEP UP WITH THE TIMES, IT AIN'T THE 80'S ANYMORE. PEOPLE KNOW WHAT CARS COST, SO DON'T BS THEM! BE HONEST AND UPFRONT, NO PUSHY. HAVE THE CAR SOLD BEFORE YOU WALK IN THE SHOWROOM, ASK PRECLOSING STATEMENTS.. HAVE FUN AND GOD BLESS!

Physical qualities: A good salesman should be good looking and must have an alluring posture. He must be convincing by voice, thus requiring a caring and loving voice. He shou…ldn't show a negative expression under any circumstance. . Mental/Psychological qualities: A good salesman must have a marvelous personality. He should be sweet natured and must be patient. He should know to deal with people of different age groups, classes and gender. In no condition should he lose his temper at it may spoil the image of the company for which he is working. . Technical qualities: A good salesman should posses all the technical qualities, i.e., he should have knowledge about the product he is selling in full. He should know as to how it works, its usefulness and other specifications. . Knowledge about the firm: He should have complete knowledge about the firm he is working for. He should know about the people behind the success of the firm and the history of the same. He should not pursue his work with partial knowledge. . 5. Communication skills: A good salesman requires fantabulous communication skills. He should know diversified languages and must be confident and nit stammer while speaking.
Reliability, honesty, truthfulness, and kindness a little kindness can go a long way.

The key to being a good(GREAT) door to door salesman is actually very simple.... Just Do It!!! To try is to fail... when we try something and we don't succeed immediately, we …say "oh well, I tried...gotta find something else now.." If we Just Do It, and we fail, we do it again until we get it right.... It is all about attitude and your work ethic... If you quit on yourself, you will lose everytime... EVERYTIME!!!

Yes and No. I started selling vehicles right out of High School. Math was never a strong subject for me. Ever. Once you get your feet wet, you'll notice there is a very limi…ted amount of mathematics required for this line of work. However, some basic math is needed. Addition, subtraction, mult., division in order to understand the fundamentals of the business and be able to communicate with your customer and the desk. What you should be good in, is listening to your clients. Newbies will sometimes feel they need to talk. WRONG! Ask a question, and then shut your mouth! Customers will give you all the information you need in order to sell them. The car business isn't easy. Commission only is very strenuous and it's difficult to structure any type of solid type of monthly income, but over time, like any other profession, the only math you'll need is how to spend all the money you're making.
