Cyborgs are thought to be using the intelligence of humans by including human Biology to a machine, or adding man made material to the human body as part of its natural function. We find cyborgs around us, usually in people where one or more of their biological parts have failed,been destroyed or are malfunctioning. People using Macemakers are an example, as well as people that have lost limbs and are now using prosthetic alternatives.

The main advantage of a cyborg is the long life of the mechanical parts, compared to biological parts. Where it sometimes can be tricky or impossible to regrow,transplant body parts, it is much easier to replace a mechanical part.

unless there are new ways of preventing your brain from deteriorating, a cyborg will only live as long as a human. Once the human brain is removed and AI introduced, you would have an android, not a cyborg.
