I am not sure as to the details of your question. As far as I know..MArinol is for Cancer patients suffering from nausea and vomiting. As for my very own personal exeperience, I believe I had/have ADHD as a child and still do now. IT is common understanding that from a medical point of view that children with ADHD or depression have a higer incidence of self medication. Marijuana is a common drug that is used, along with cigarettes and alcohol, among others. I believe that marijuana truly helped my condition. The stigma of it's illegality was too much for my parents to bear..which caused problems. I believe that it would be very effective in alleviating the complications that arise in children with ADHD or even Autism. Although inhalation may not be the best choice, ingestion in food or a tea or a legal alternative such as marinol should be at least considered...as opposed to medications suchas amphetamines or anti-psychotics like Risperidol..

Is it possible to have ADHD bipolar disorder depression and anxiety?

Someone with bipolar disorder already has periods of depression, and a symptom of depression can include anxiety. The increased energy levels associated with the manic episodes of bipolar disorder may look like ADHD. Can a child age 19 with bipolar disorder and ADHD make his own decisions?

ADHD and bipolar disorder are generally not conditions severe enough to require a legal guardian. Adults with ADHD can live very interesting and productive lives working and starting successful business. It is not uncommon for ADHD to be accompanied by a higher than normal IQ. In fact, people with ADHD often have strengths that are not present in the general population: creativeness, high energy, imagination, willingness to take risks, a tendency toward the more unusual, the ability to hyper focus on a task or project, etc. He might need extra support but should have the opportunity to make his own decisions. At 19 he is no longer a child.

What are the effects of alcohol on ADH?

Alcohol can be a good medicine for many ADHD bipolar and the like.. It was used all through history, and if you are a Christian believer, was prescribed by God himself, to joy the heart, and ease depression and poverty.BUT, just like abusing any medicine from a doctor, the bad effects will out weight the good. Alcohol is a natural depressant.. not meaning sadness, but it calms in small amounts (glass or two), but when you tip the scale into drunk, the effects will be more evident in a AHD bipolar than one without these so called disorders. The danger for most ADD and Bipolar, is in their trials, they are susceptible to self medication. I myself am a bipolar schizophrenic and though i did have my battle with Alcohol in the past, with discipline I now drink in moderation with no ill effects as does my father (bipolar) and wife (ADHD - we like to stick together;).

How can you get help paying for marinol?

Marinol is reserved for a few severe diseases, like cancer, AIDS, and glaucoma. It increases appetite and decreases nausea. It has been approved for some off-label uses like ADHD, but this is in a very small population of patients for a trial only. So, unless you want to catch a terrible terminal disease like AIDS, you will probably not be getting any Marinol.

Your daughter has ADHD and bipolar she is on 40mg of Vyvanse and 12mg serequel all the sudden she is behaving strange what are some other options besides serequel?

Let me begin by saying that I hope your daughter is being followed by a psychiatrist or psychiatric nurse practitioner that specializes in working with children. I am not a doctor, however I have worked with individuals, of all ages, with a diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder. A diagnosis of bipolar disorder and ADHD is not uncommon, but it can be difficult to treat, because many medications used to treat ADHD can trigger Bipolar Mania. I would not be surprised if the vyvanse triggers symptoms of mania at various times of the year. I would continue taking seroquel, discontinue the vyvanse, and start Straterra. Honestly, (again, I am not a physician) the only ADHD med that I trust, with an individual who has Bipolar, is Straterra. Straterra is not typically prescribed to children, however it is the only medication that treats ADHD which is not a stimulant. Check out my previous post about Bipolar Treatments: What are effective treatments for bipolar disorder Be well.

Monitor The Effects Of ADHD Drugs?

Beware of taking ADHD drugs, especially if you have a child taking them. Some of the drugs that are prescribed for ADHD make the patient very sleepy and unable to function during the day. The effects are more prevalent in children than in adults. Try changing the diet to eliminate sugary foods and foods that are dyed red to see if this helps.
