You need a license to become a falconer . First you take a written test on biology, training, and veterinary aspects of raptors. To pass you need a score of at least 80%. Next you have to find a sponsor to train you. This person will have a general Or mastery falconry permit and will sponsor you for a two year apprenticeship. For more information you can get American Falconry Magazine.

Falconry refers to the training of hawks to hunt under human control.
