Lipstick has no fixed chemical formula, it is a mixtureof fats, waxes, pigments, etc. and varies from manufacturer to manufacturer and product line to product line.

Typically, lipsticks are made of waxes, oils/fats, emollients, and pigments. Waxes are usually beeswax, parraffin, and carnauba wax. Oils may be lanolin oil, castor oil, olive oil, and cocoa butter. Emollients may include vitamin E and aloe vera. Pigments may come from any combination of plant, animal, mineral, or synthetic ingredients. Common pigments are carmine are cochineal extract. Sometimes preservatives are also within a lipstick, such as alcohol. Another ingredient may be sunscreen or fragrance.

Depending on the company that makes it, it will have different ingredients. generally there is a compination of waxes ie. bees wax and oils ie. castor oil then the pigments, fillers and chemicals
