CPU speed is measured in megahertz MHz and gigahertz GHz. Your typical processor is going to be in GHz if you have a super computer then it will be in MHz. The CPU speed can be deceiving so make sure you do your research on them.

Hey im Actually building a gaming rig for 1,400 dollars and it competes with the super nice 6-7 thousand dollar computers! FOR REAL the on i will be using is the Intel i-5-760 it was recently like 500 or something outrageous but its 209 right now and when im done over clocking the mess out of it it will do 4ghz!

The CPU speed, and processor speed is the amount of cycles that a CPU can perform per second.CPU speed is not a good indicator of CPU performance.
