Questions asked by the survey are generated by the company and or agency (as some government departments undertake this process as well) who are contracting the "mystery Shopping company. These can be specific about a product i.e Can this XYZ do this, does it come with a full writing instruction manual or if I buy this today am I allowed to try it out and return it if it doesn't do what im expecting

These are used to test the process. Other questions are; were you offered this product as an addition to the one your were enquiring about? This could be as simple as purchasing a torch and the staff member also asking if they could get you the batteries to suite that torch (add on sales)

In other environment, . Banks for instance . The assessor might be asked to ensure that certain point of sale material was visible, was there someone in the banking hall directing customer traffic and explaining with an apology any waiting times

In contact with government agencies such questions would direct the assessor to ask about certain leaflets and then ask specific questions about its context that the officer should know.

How do you write for a mystery shopping job?

The Mystery to WritingHow to write for a Mystery Shopping CompanyWriting for a mystery shopping company requires that you first register with that company as a secret shopper. When you are ready to sign up with a mystery shopping company you will go through an application process and often an informal screening and writing analysis. You will be required to write one or more narratives on various topics relating to you as a secret shopper. Specifically you may be asked to write about your best and or worst dining experience. You may also be asked to explain your most recent retail shopping experience or why you feel customer service or secret shopping is important.Though they will accept only excellent narratives that consist of proper grammar, correct spelling, clarity of thought and fluency; mystery shopping companies are not seeking a novelist. Mystery shopping companies are looking to see if the applicants to their company can express well through written communication. Secret shopping is web based and most correspondence is done through email. Mystery shopping providers are seeking to fill shopping positions where the shopper has the ability to write a story that is concise, thorough and detailed. They will only submit a well written narrative to the client. The narrative should walk the client through the experiences the shopper encountered with their employees, customer service and facilities.Mystery shopping provider companies do have editors but not for the purposes of rewriting a narrative from a shopper that has written an unclear or conflicting narrative. The company expects that a shopper proof read and edit his/her own work before submitting it to them. Editors are designed to correct minor details and proof read the narrative before submitting to the client. Narratives that require too many corrections or lack continuity and consistency are bound to be rejected and your shop may not be reimbursed. If your application is accepted by a mystery shopping provider company they have decided that you have what it takes to not only shop for them but also to convey your experiences to their standards. Shopping may be the easy part when it comes to secret shopping. The real job is to convey your experience in an unbiased, objective and honest fashion.Once you have been accepted and approved as a shopper you will be able to request or self-assign shops for your work. When you have been given an assignment to complete, you will be required to provide one or more narratives of your experience on the assignment in your report. Narratives will be expected to be a detailed report from the time you entered until the time you exited and every thing in between.Obtaining a job writing for a mystery shopping Provider Company is simple. For some writing is the daunting task. You may think your writing skills are less than perfect or it may be the case in point. Using spell check or grammar check is not an alternative to learning how to write in a professional manner. Often times spell check does not have large dictionary content. Grammar check will not catch words that are not misspelled and used for the wrong meaning such as their and there.
