Three ways a hypothesis may arise are:
1.) Prior knowledge
2.) Logical inference
3.) Informed, creative imagination
An observable explanation, that can be tested.
Have the courage to abandon the hypothesis that leads to "in the way". Experimentation is all about ruling out unworkable hypotheses.
Debugging is a way of running the program to locate any errors that may arise at run-time.
Discovering a hypothesis that is not true can be as valuable as finding out that it is true. If the hypothesis is not supported, scientists may repeat the investigation to check for mistakes. Or they may look at the original question in a new way, ask new questions, and form new hypotheses. New questions and hypotheses can lead to new investigations and discoveries. =^-^= Thank you for reading. I hope this helps you. (:

They experimented more to test hypotheses
A scientific law is a description of observed phenomena that repeat (i.e. not a one-time event). A hypothesis seeks to explain the law. Hypotheses that are able to demonstrate the ability to make predictions about the law may become a theory. Hypotheses and theories attempt to explain laws, not the other way around.
