I'm only guessing here, but Stephen King would be my answer; I know several Agatha Christie books were also made into TV movies.
I'm thinking Philip K. Dick for non repeat and Shakespeare for total including repeats.
J.K. Rowling has had 100% of her books made into movies - all of the Harry Potter Series. So, she would be high on the list for having had most of her books made into films.

Yes, the author does have to give permission. But once the author gives permission, Hollywood can twist the plot up a bit. The movies are not always so accurate. Let's think for a minute: If you read all the Twilight books, and they made a move out of it, and it was exactly like the book, you would know all that was going to happen! But If you read the books and the movie was nothing like the books, than you would have some surprise. Think of it this way, (I'm a strict book fan, I do like movies to be made like the books so I know how you feel, and this is what I do) that the movie is like an extended book. All your favorite character are on screen. Hollywood cannot please all, you got to understand. But Hollywood thinks that if a movie does not have romance, then people will not see it. That is why they made Annabeth like Percy so early in The Lightning Thief. Some people like the knowing( myself being one of them), but some moviegoers like to have a bit of a surprise.
Fantasy .
So far, only New Moon has been signed on by the cast, but most likely, yes- all four books will be made into movies eventually. :)

There is no official confirmation that all of The Chronicles of Narnia books will be turned into movies. As of now, there have been three movies made based on the series, but there is no guarantee that the remaining books will be adapted into films. The decision to make more movies would depend on the interest from filmmakers, studios, and audiences.
