The long thoracic duct begins at the cysterna chyli and continues superiorly to drain the lymph from the legs, abdomen, left arm, and left side of the thorax, neck, and head into the left subclavian vein, then on to its juncture with an internal jugular vein to drain lymph into venous blood
These ducts drain into the circulatory system at the right and left subclavian veins, which are located under the clavicle, or collar bone.
The right lympathic duct empties into the right subclavian vein and the left lympathic duct (thoracic duct) empties into the left subclavian vein.

The Dacron graft is sutured to both ends of the remaining portion of the vessel. If Total thoracic aorta surgery is what is being referred to then, yes. Also on a side note: A lot of times the vessel is opened up, and the graft is placed inside the vessel then the vessel is sutured around the graft. The sutures penetrate the vessel and the graft. Dacron does not cause any postoperative immunization reactions, and over time, tissue grows around the graft.
