Kerry Huang has a little American eskimo, and we feed him the type of food that has the stuff in it to make their fur shinier and healthier. You can feed them any kind of dog food really. Just don't feed it the stuff that is for big dogs. I feed him stuff that says "toy breed" or "small breed" he seems to like it and it hasn't made him sick at all

It is best to talk to your breeder about how much they have been feeding their Eskies, as they would know better than most. However, most Eskies only require two or so cups of food a day. It is best to work with your dog to see if you would rather like to have food always out for them, or have a set schedule on which to feed them.

Eskies tend to be picky dogs, and will let you know right off the bat what they will and will not eat for dinner. However, most breeders will tell you to mix dry and moist dog food. Try not to switch brands overnight, instead mixing the old and new brand together. Switching right off can cause severe problems such as diarrhea and vomiting.

Some foods not to feed your dog are :

Chocolate

Cocoa

Avacadoes

Onions

Macademia Nuts

Grapes and Raisins

Raw Bread Dough

Some products to ensure they don't eat are :

Aspirin or Tylenol

Cocoa Mulch

Oleander, Mistletoe, and Lilies

Boric Acid Products (including mouthwash)

Fabric Softener Sheets

Ice melt or antifreeze

Xyitol

If you follow these tips, you should have a happy Eskie.
