Suffering from heartburn myself for many years, I eventually stumbled on a cure for myself when I took up Herbalife. Now I'm not sure whether it was just luck or some of the ingredients in this product, but it worked for me. I even quit Herbalife and the heartburn didn't come back. Not I am not a distributor for Herbalife or anything like that, but I do believe the cure lies somewhere in what you eat, and I do believe it has to do with more natural type foods.

Don't eat a large meal late in the day, or right before bedtime. Take it easy on carbonated sodas and alcoholic drinks.

Keep your weight down. Elevate the head of your bed by 5 or 6 inches. Sleep on your right side whenever you can.

Take heartburn medicine over-the-counter, or as prescribed by your doctor.

In a pinch, drink a few ounces of cold milk during a heartburn attack. Sleep in a recliner for a night or two, and not too steep.

Brush your teeth well upon waking. This will often bring up a good burp. Do not swallow any toothpaste or mouthwash.

Chew TUMS. It is calcium carbonate. You cannot overdose on it.
