A 'pitcher' is another name for a jug and they are usually used to hold liquids. There is also a carniverous 'pitcher plant' which grows liquid filled 'pitchers' on the tips of its leaves. Insects and small amphibians are attracted to and fall in these and are then digested by the plant for the nutrients they provide.

These would be the makers marks, it would be helpful to know the age and the origin of the pitcher as this would allow someone to be able to find out who MB is
I have a pitcher with the same marking and cannot find who or where the item was made. My grandmother had it and she hailed from England. My grandfather hailed from France. Good luck to you!
same as mlb but per w/e amount of innings they have
I have a pitcher only. If I remember correctly it was my grandmother's (been deceased for many years) and my grandfather (who died before I was born) brought it back (or sent it home) to my grandmother from France where he fought in the First World War. My pitcher is numbered. I always wondered about the artist. Would love to find more about my beautiful keepsake pitcher.
