It could mean heart burn Possibly heartburn, but hard to tell without knowing more. On your left side we find the pancreas, the spleen, stomach, left lung, left kidney, a variety of muscles.... Without knowing a lot more it's very hard to guess. I would not however assume the worst. Consider the following questions: * How long have you had this pain? * Has it changed in character or degree? * Have you recently been injured in any way? * Is there anything in your medical history that would relate to any of organs I mentioned? * Are you running a temperature? If this goes one without change, or gets worse, for more than a few days, consider a visit to the doctor.
