The main cause of numbness is the lack of circulation of blood. Some people have a condition where they have extremely low circulation of blood through their feet, which should be verified by a doctor. Though, numbness can occur in anybody's right foot, but its all because of the lack of circulation of the blood through the right foot.

It depends on the age, situation you are in, etc.

In general, left or right foot;

For elderly people,swelling on the foot could mean; Rheumatoid Arthritis which is usually common in men than women

For hotspots, people who go on holiday in humid places may get a swollen foot from a mosquito/insect bite.

Numbness on feet could mean you have been inactive for a long period of time and therefore need to walk about and stimulate the blood around your foot as you are not getting enough circulation. It should soon go away after a while.
