The Island Territory of Bonaire ['Eilandgebied Bonaire' in Dutch; 'Teritorio Insular di Boneiru' in Papiamento] is presently one of the five islands along with Bonaire, Curacao, Saba, Sint Eustatius, and Sint Maarten in the Netherlands Antilles. When the Netherlands Antilles is dissolved as a political entity on October 10, 2010, Bonaire will become a municipality within the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
