It means that if you design an experiment to detect the behavior of particles, and

run light through it, light behaves as if it's made of particles. And if you design an

experiment to detect the behavior of waves, and run light through it, light behaves

as if it's made of waves. Light has a "dual nature". That means it acts like two things

that we always thought were separate ... waves andparticles.

I think you mean dual nature. It means that it may be observed to be particles, or waves, depending on the experiment.

The 'dual nature' of light is the theory that light behaves as both a wave and a particle.
