There are many parts of The Bible that discuss baptism. One specific verse is Mark 16:15-16.

"Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone, everywhere. Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned."

Jesus said, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15, NKJV). And He has commanded us to be baptized (see Matthew 28:18-20). A person who loves Jesus and accepts Him as his or her Savior, will want to follow Him in baptism.

Did Jesus become the beloved son of God at conception or at his baptism?

A:Scholars studying Mark, the earliest New Testament gospel say that it says that in this gospel, Jesus became the son of God at his baptism. In verse 1:11, God spoke to Jesus, to tell him the news that he was his beloved son.The Gospels of Matthew and Luke add nativity stories to the original account, showing that Jesus was begotten of the Holy Spirit, so he became the son of God at his conception.John's Gospel did not need a nativity story to demonstrate that Jesus was the son of God from the time of his conception, as it says that Jesus was the son of God since before creation.

Why can you address Jesus father father too?

WE open the prayer by calling god our father. WE dare to do this because by Baptism into death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, we are the adopted sons and daughters of god. Baptism makes us children of god. Jesus invited us to say, not my Father, but our Father, reminding us that we pray as baptized members of the church community.

Why does baptism make one born again?

While there are exceptions the overwhelming vast majority of most evangelical Christian groups would Not say that baptism makes one born again. When asked by the jailer what a person had to do to be born again (Acts 16:30) Paul replied "believe in the Lord Jesus". Baptism is a public demonstration that a person is a follower of Jesus and has placed their faith in Jesus for salvation (not works; cf Eph. 2:8,9). For example the thief on the cross at the crucifixion obviously was not baptized and yet Jesus told him that he would be in paradise. Baptism is however expected of Christians following their acceptance of Jesus. it is commissioned by Jesus (Mt. 28:19,20) and seen throughout the book of Acts as a result of being born again, not vice versa.
