At a start he was the first governor of the state that started the American Revolution. from 1780 to 1793, all but 2 years of that. He kept up the traditions that now make us a country. He showed the English by signing the Declaration of Independence that he was not afraid to let them know that he believed in the course of action to free ourselves from the British rule. The British had a bounty for the head of all known Revolutionist.
