Chipmunks live in deciduous forests and live on nuts, berries, insects and small animals like frogs. Climate change may dry up the forests, and the nuts, berries and frogs may not be available. Change of habitat may make them more exposed to their enemies, hawks and foxes etc. Any changes like these will threaten the existence of chipmunks, which, like other animals, may not be able to adapt to the sudden changes.
They live in habitats where they are prey.
