Welcome to life. Sometimes you have to make hard choices. If you have time, you can weigh one person against the other and in your mind decide which is of more value. In a split second decision, you will make it on some basis that you might not be able to explain and that will be that. What you want to do and what you are capable of doing is very often two different things. You do what you can and don't worry about the rest.
