First check all of the normal stuff. Hungry? Thirsty? Tired? Hurt? Fever? None of that?
Try holding that sweet little one close, rocking back and forth, and singing softly into his ear. I like 'the pie song' - Baby don't you cry, gonna make a pie, gonna make a pie with a heart in the middle... - but any song will work as well. You can also place your phone with your music playing softly near the baby's ear if the baby is in a buggy or stroller. I have four grown children and I didn't figure this out until my 12th grandchild. It's worked for me with every baby - everytime - since I figured it out about a year ago. Worth a try :)
