no! windex will pull the natural oil out of the ball eventually causing the surface to peel off. the only thing u need to use to clean a ball is powerwash and a microfiber towl from any proshop.
Yes you can use soap and water to clean Bowling balls. However there are several products on the market made for cleaning the surface that will do a much better job. Your local pro shop should have them as well most sporting goods stores. There is also a link below which you use to order online.

Storm Reactive Bowling ball cleaner. However you can use a bucket full of hot water just as well. This will draw the oil out of your ball and should be done about every 15-20 games. The reactive bowling ball cleaner should be used after every time you are done bowling.
There are approved cleaners for use on the bowling ball. While you are bowling, you are limited to specific cleaners that can be used as you may not alter the surface of a ball during league or tournament play.
