Millie Hughes-Fulford is a molecular biologist and medical researcher, and former US astronaut.

She flew aboard space shuttle Columbia on a 9-day Spacelab mission, STS-40, in June 1991.

She has since designed experiments on bone cells and T-cells in microgravity that flew aboard later shuttle flights and on the International Space Station.

She has also served as a Professor of Medicine at the University of California (San Francisco), and has authored numerous papers on cell chemistry.
