Not that I'm an expert on puppies or anything but I do know that cocker spaniels used to be used for picking up pigeons when they were shot (the pigeons) by people and they would bring them back to them. They dribble sometimes because their mouth has an outline that is quite soft and it dribbles. They have this soft jaw line because when they carried the pigeons they didn't want to hurt them - or something like that anyway.

Don't be put off cocker spaniels though because they are easy to train and are good around children. Also my dad used to have one and it didn't dribble so I personally think it's a load of rubbish. They do need quite a lot of grooming however but still don't be put off. Someone told my mum this (after I was begging to have a cocker spaniel) and now she seems really put off by them.

Do cocker spaniels get along with other Cocker spaniels?

Yes. they should do :) They are a lovely breed of dog. The only aggressive Cocker spaniels I have met are golden cockers. But if you've had a cocker spaniel for many years, and then decide to bring home a puppy, they might get a little jealous. So be careful. but if you get them the same time. it should be fine :) x
