the work of an alternator is to charge up the battery while the vehicle is in motion
What is a brush and how many of them are there in a alternator of a motor vehicle?
An alternator is regulated to prevent overcharging of the vehicle's battery.
it depends on the vehicle and where its at
The alternator generates power to run the car and charge the battery. An alternator in a vehicle generates Alternate Current (AC) instead of Direct Current (DC) electricity to power the vehicle.
If you can get your vehicle started you can then un hook the battery while it is running and if your vehicle stays running then your alternator is good. If it stalls and dies as soon as you unhook the battery then the alternator is not good.If you can get your vehicle started you can then un hook the battery while it is running and if your vehicle stays running then your alternator is good. What kind of vehicle do you have?
alternator
Yes. The vehicle they were installed in (and the options the vehicle had) would dictate the size/capacity of the alternator that was used.
either your belt is loose or alternator is faulting out go to nearest part store and have it tested for most accurate test remove alternator from vehicle I've had that happen before and in the vehicle alternator tested good. removed from vehicle it tested bad. replace alternator no further problems
From $40 to $250 depending on the vehicle.
The voltage regulator is in the alternator on that model vehicle
A new battery or one that tested good is in the vehicle and the car is still losing power. the alternator is what charges the battery while the vehicle is operating.
