AnswerRead literally, the conflicts described in the four New Testament Gospels, between Jesus and the Pharisees and scribes, merely show disagreement and conlfict about theology, religious law and differing objectives. However, we need not stop there. Burton L Mack ('Who Wrote the New Testament') says that one can ask any question of The Bible and get some kind of answer and, if at the first study of a text it does not seem to support a traditional Christian conviction, or the answer one hopes to find in the Bible, one can make some new assumptions and look for another answer to the same question, until the right answer appears. So, the conflict can indicate whatever you want it to indicate about the kingdom of God.
