24 protons would make the element chromium (Cr). If it has only 20 electrons, then it would have a net +4 charge, so the ion would have to be Cr^+4

What is the symbol for the ion with 22 protons and 24 electrons?

Ti2- would be the symbol for an ion with 22 protons and 24 electrons. This would be EXTREMELY unlikely to exist though. Ti2+ is more usual with 22 protons and 20 electrons. Ti4+ is even more stable with 22 protons and 18 electrons.

What is the charge of an ion that contains 26 protons and 24 electrons?

Ion 2+=====

What ion contains 19 protons 20 neutrons 18 electrons?

20 protons indicate that the particle has an atomic number of 20 and is thus, calcium Ca. Since it has two more protons than it has electrons it must have a charge of 2+. So, the symbol will be Ca2+.

If an ion has 26 protons and 24 electrons what is the ionic charge?

+2: 26 - 24.

What is the number of electrons and protons in calcium?

Calcium: protons are 20 neutrons are 20, 22, 23, 24, 26 or 28 electrons are 20

What is the number of protons and electrons in ferrous ion?

Ferrous ions are iron atoms minus two electrons. An iron atom has 26 each of protons and electrons, as shown by the fact that the atomic number of iron is 26. Therefore, a ferrous ion has 26 protons and 24 electrons.

What would you call an atom with 26 protons and 30 neutrons and 24 electrons?

A positive ion.

What ion has 24 protons and 21 electrons?

The charge of the ion is 2+.This would be represented as Fe2+.

What is the total number of protons in an atom that has 24 electrons and 25 neutrons?

There can not be an atom with more electrons than protons, however to find the atomic mass of any atom disregard the electrons and add the number of protons and nuetrons together. The previous answer is correct in that the atomic mass is equal to the number of protons plus the number of neutrons. The atomic number is the number of protons and in a neutral atom the number of protons and electrons are equal. Atoms have can have a charge, they are then called ions. The way the become charged is either through the loss (oxidation) or gain (reduction) of electrons. Therefore it is possible to have a charged atom with more or less electrons than protons.
