If your baby fails a drug test, aka toxicollogy screen, it is usually required of the health care provider that they contact the local authorities. I'm not sure of the order, but, it usually is followed by the parent(s) being detained, questioned, drug tested and to sum up the rest, social services are almost definitely to take the child into their custody pending any investigation.

Just follow these steps and it should all go well.
- Ask him why he's doing drugs, and what kind.
- Don't bother asking where he got it from, most kids won't tell you.
- Ask him if he wants help, be loving towards him the whole time.
- Be sure to tell him that no matter what happens you will always love him, the more trust and love he gains from you, the more he'll open up to you.
- Tell him that there will have to be punishment, or it will happen again.
