Spermatozoon have something like a tail and somewhat resemble a tadpole. They will swim into the body and if they locate an egg, they will begin to speed up and swim more erratically. Enzymes will be released and the sperm and the egg will fuse to create a zygote. The zygote is what later becomes a fetus. If the spermatozoon do not locate an egg, after a time they will become inactive and naturally flushed from the body.

The head of the sperm contains enzymes which it uses to disolve the zona pellucida (the outer protective barrier) of the ovum. Once a sperm is successful in penetrating this barrier, the egg electrically depolarizes in order to repel any remaining sperm which remain outside the ovum trying to get in. (In the rare event that multiple sperm cells do get through, fraternal twins can result.) The head of the sperm, after it has used its enzymes to gain entry to the egg, essentially opens up and merges its genetic material with that of the ovum and the process of meiois can begin.

If the guy is healthy, you get his nutrients... as long as the taste of the sperm is ok to you, nothing to worry.

Why only one sperm cell can fertilized an ovum?

Ovum has a layer of zona pellucida around itself. When a sperm enters the ovum, the cortical granules present in the ovum, causes the thickening of the zona pellucida. This prevents the entry of other sperms in the ovum and only one sperm is able to fertilize the egg.
