when they freak out you mean by turning around? or when they maximize them selves? i need more info but if they did one of those things like turning around.... then that's ok.

The Tamagotchi is a handheld electronic toy pet. It was created in 1996 by Aki Maita and sold by Bandai. The Tamagotchi is a small and simple egg-shaped computer. Three buttons (A, B, and C) allow the user do things with the pet such as giving it food or playing with it. There are over 36 versions of tamagotchi, including those in 1996. If you press the first button (a) it highlights an option, if you press the second button (b) it selects the option. If you press the third, (c) it escapes from where you are on buttons.

What is the generations on a tamagotchi?
Basically the genrations on a Tamagotchi shows how many children your Tamagotchi have before it passes away, as in, Abba has a child called Babba and Babba has a child called Cat. Cat is the third generation of that Tamagotchi. But if your Tamagotchi passes away, the new Tamagotchi is the first generation. The generations of a Tamagotchi can show a rough guide to how well you care for it. The higher the number, the more children and grandchildren and great-grandchildren and so on the orignal Tamagotchi has, and the better you care for your Tamagotchi.

How do you pause the first tamagotchi?
The v5's don't pause like the rest of the other Tamagotchi Connections do :-/ In order for the v5 to act as it is paused, you must first turn your sound off by pressing the outer two buttons at the same time (a + c), and selecting 'yes'. Then, go to the TV icon, which is located at the bottom row, third from the left. In there, select 'Travel Show', and when the option comes up, select 'Go!'. Now your Tamagotchi will act all cute and leave your home and get on a bus. The bus will continuously drive, and your Tamagotchi will be paused, until you press you press the button on the far left (button c). From there is asks you if you want to come back, and if you are sure, and select the 'yes' reply both times. ^_^I did not write this, someone else did. Hope this helps those who need to know! :)

You can raise your bond in Tamagotchi V5 by responding to them when they want to play music or other activites. When a question mark or a music symbol appears you want to go to the bottom left button, press A (first button) and choose an activity for them to do. This also should have been in the instructions that came with your tamagotchi. Tamagotchi on!
