I'm not an expert, but as far as I know a sharp chest pain when you breathe in can signify one of two things: pneumonia or precordial catch syndrome
A sharp pain that gets worse when you take a deep breath or cough can be caused by pneumonia. If you also have fever, cough, headache, or low appetite, it's most likely pneumonia.
If the sharp pain is localized in the left side of the chest and only lasts a minute, or if it goes away with a "pop" feeling after taking a very deep breath, then the pain was likely precordial catch syndrome. PCS, though painful, is just a muscle spasm in the chest and is not dangerous.

When your chest feels tight, it can be a symptom of different medical conditions, such as asthma, ischemic heart disease, and anxiety. Because it can be related to heart problems, a person should see a doctor if he experiences this symptom.

Go and see a qualified medical practitioner (a Doctor).
Breathing - when you breathe in, your chest rises; when you breathe out, your chest falls.
If you fell your pulse dropping and your chest feels funny and there is shortness of breath you should seek medical attention. It is important to do so quickly so you don't risk having a heart attack.
