This can happen if your engine has gotten to hot, you will be looking at ~$150 plus tax & shop time to replace. Get your car up to speed highway speeds and then release the gas and apply the brake, if your car feels like it is fighting you to keep going and starts to stall out then this is probably the problem. . Your accelerator cable may not be set properly, and has to much slack. With the engine off have a friend slowly apply the gas, if the cable moves before any tension is applyed to the throttle this is most likely the problem. (MORE)
