Direct current commonly known as DC is the current which does not change it's direction of flow, but the magnitude can vary with time where as alternating current known as AC changes it's polarity with time it is not uni directional. the frequency of AC varies but DC donot contain such a feature it's frequency is zero.
Alternate current (also known as AC) is a current that moves back and forth in the wire, while a direct current (also know as DC) moves in only one direction in the wire.
CommentThe term is alternating current, not alternate current.
Direct current has the electricity go in one direction, and Alternating current has it switch back and forth in a sine wave. Batteries give DC, and your wall electrical outlet has AC, usually at 50 or 60 cycles per second, or Hz (Hertz). AC is easier to convert to other voltages, while DC is sometimes considered safer and better for long-distance transmission. We want very high voltages for long distance transmission which helps you reduce losses.
For instance, there is the difference between -direct current- and -alternate current- For example: a simple battery gives direct current, e bicycle-dynamo generates alternate-current, so plus becomes minus and vice versa several times a second. A symbol for direct current can be: ____ - - - A symbol for alternate current is a small sine-wave: ~
The difference AC and DC grounding is that AC is alternate current and DC is direct current. Grounding for both AC and DC is the same.
Zero = Nothing = Nil = 0 Hertz or Cycles per Second Direct Current is just as its name says: it does not alternate so it does not have any "frequency".
Any device that has a battery and can be plugged into the wall. The power coming from the battery is DC, while the power from the wall is AC.
Alternating current is better than direct current for transmission.

It's a decision based on efficiency of power transmission.
Its Alternate Current and Direct Current. I believe Angus Young got the idea for the band name when he say AC/DC on the bottom of his sisters sewing kit. Electric current can be direct current (DC) or alternating current (AC). Direct current such as the power from dry cells is characterized by a uniform direction of flow and amount (voltage) of electricity.
The Underline below symbol G represent about flow of current,if the line is straight it shows direct current, and if it is zig-zag then it is alternate current.
Alternating Current (AC) is the type of electricity typically used in households. With AC, the magnitude and direction of electricity vary. Direct current (DC) is a source of electricity that does not vary in direction. An example of a DC source is a battery, or solar cells. The main difference between the two types of currents is simply the direction, as made quite clear by the names: AC = varied direction and magnitude where as DC = continuous current. Alternate current cannot stored but direct current can be stored examples in case of battery cells
Not all current flows in the same direction because electric energy does not follow the circular flow of electricity which results to direct and alternate current.
The difference AC and DC grounding is that AC is alternate current and DC is direct current. Grounding for both AC and DC is the same.
Ac/Dc Orignally means Alternate Current/Direct Current. But, The name of the band AC/DC is "Anti-Christ/Devil's Child"
Alternate current
Edison had his empire build on the Direct current and Tesla came with the alternate current which was better. In the end Nikola Tesla won.
The alternator generates power to run the car and charge the battery. An alternator in a vehicle generates Alternate Current (AC) instead of Direct Current (DC) electricity to power the vehicle.
