For the Quarter Quell, the capitol picks from the remaining pool of victors from each district. Katniss is chosen. Haymitch is also chosen, but Peeta volunteers so he can protect Katniss. The arena is a clock and their allies are Finnick, Johanna, Beetee, and some others. At the end, Johanna knocks Katniss out and removes the tracker from her arm. Then the people from District 13 take her and Finnick there. Meanwhile, Peeta and the others are captured by the Capitol. Then "Mockingjay" starts. Mockingjay is the third and final book of the trilogy.

In Catching Fire, Katniss and Peeta are put back into a new Hunger Games for a fight to the death from of past victors for the Quarter Quell. However, a plan was made and they were rescued from the arena. The last line is Gale telling Katniss, "Katniss, there is no District 12."

SPOILER! Katniss is rescued after Johanna cuts out her tracker from her arm, she eventually meets up with Gale who tells her the Capitol dropped firebombs over their district but he got her family out on time. The book ends with Gale saying; "Katniss, there is no District Twelve"
