Essentially it is about the attempt to produce a genetically engineered God who, when he arrives has his own ideas about who and what he is and his purpose in life. Obviously that is an extremely condensed view of the underlying storyline which tells you nothing about the characters or locations but I'd just advise you to read it yourself. Initially some of the words are rather confussing but there is a glossary at the back of the book which helps a great deal. I thought that it was original and interesting.
