β 14y agoJohnny Depp is a fan of The Clash, an English band that was formed in 1976 and was part of the original punk wave, they were fronted by Joe Strummer.
Johnny is also known to like The Pogues, an Irish rock/punk band, fronted by Shane Macgown; a friend of Johnny's. For a few years after 1991, Joe Strummer from The Clash fronted The Pogues after Shane Macgowan had to leave due to severe alcohol and drug problems (the band then broke up in 1996, but reformed again in 2001 with Shane back in front.)
Johnny Depp starred in and directed a 1994 music video for the Pogues called 'That Woman's Got Me Drinking'.
He also featured in a music video for a band called The Lemonheads, the song was called 'Something About Ray'.
He is also thought to like music by Bob Dylan, and Iggy Pop (who his band 'The Kids' opened for, before Johnny's acting career).
Plus I suppose he likes his own music too, he has been in the bands 'The Kids' (who latre changed their name to 'Six Gun Method') and the band simply called 'P'.
