The definition of branch ofice in traditional terms could mean, when a parent company decides to expand their business to another separate location. This location could be anywhere, whether the same state or different or even abroad.

Traditionally branch offices meant to the locations of retail banks, lending institutions or real estate companies, today they the branches could be related to any industry type. The difficulty of establishing a branch office depends on the new location for the office.

Hope this helps.
