The arc4life cervical traction neck pillow is a special pillow that provides gentle neck traction to the cervical neck spine. There is a special "V" on one side of the neck pillow. This neck pillow is great for someone with a :

  • herniated disk
  • bulging disk
  • degeneration in the neck
  • Arthritis in the neck
  • forward head posture
  • anterior forward carriage
  • poor neck posture
  • military neck (as seen on a neck x-ray)
  • occipital neuralgia

In addition to using the arc4life cervical neck traction pillow at night, it is also recommended that one use a traction unit (such an over the door traction unit, a posture pump or pronex)- as directed by their chiropractor, physical therapist or health professional.

Is neck traction a useful technique for treating pinched nerves?

Neck traction, also called cervical traction, is a type of stretching that is often used for neck pain. Traction is usually used on the neck, spine, arms, legs, and pelvis to help with any muscle, joint, or bone problems. Neck traction, or cervical traction, also uses pulling force on the neck. These are usually stretches or other exercises that are used to relieve neck pain. These can sometimes involve devices that you can use at home.    Neck traction also uses the pulling force of your neck so it works well for people suffering from pinched nerves. A trained and experienced physical therapist is well aware of the benefits of traction therapy for treating the problem of pinched nerves.

Restore a normal cervical curve?

Your question is not a question so it''s unclear what you mean. If you mean "Can you restore a normal cervical curve?", the answer is I believe so, at least temporarily. If you mean "Do the traction devices that are supposed to restore a normal cervical curve really work?", I think most do. I know this from personal experience because I went to a chiropractor, he pointed out that my cervical curve was straight, and he gave me a cervical traction system consisting of a foam roll, a head harness and a 5-pound lead ball. After a few months of using the device, the curve did improve somewhat, but it went back to what is was before after I stopped using it. The important question is "Is having a normal cervical curve important to your health?" I don't know the answer to this question. Vik97
